The largest aquarium in Europe is, of course, in Valencia City of Arts and Sciences. In Valencia Oceanographic represent important marine ecosystems on Earth differentiated in several buildings in the complex, Mediterranean, Wetlands, Temperate Seas, Tropical Seas, Oceans, Antarctic, Arctic Islands and Red Sea. It also has the Dolphinarium volume of 24 million liters of water.

The spectacular and modern covers Oceanographic in Valencia due to the designs of Felix Candela. Below them are the Underwater Restaurant and the building giving access to the site.

The Oceanographic is home to more than 45,000 copies of 500 different species. Dolphins, beluga whales, walruses, penguins, seals, sharks, sawfish, jellyfish, starfish, sea urchins are among the species that live in the largest European aquarium. In addition, you can see birds typical of wetlands in the Albufera of Valencia and tropical mangroves.

Towers or facilities

Arctic

In this space, form and shape of an igloo, we can observe two marine mammals typical of these latitudes: the beluga whales and walruses

Antarctic

Representation of a rocky cliff with breeding and spawning areas, and in whose hand is seen submerged swim almost effortlessly to a colony of penguins, with their graceful movements underwater.

Mediterranean

Circular building that honors the Mediterranean Sea. The aquarium brings together about 7,400 copies.

Oceans

This twin tower structure presents a journey along the ocean currents that make up the usual route of travelers overseas, both humans and nonhumans.

Dolphinarium

Enjoy demonstrations of intelligence of bottlenose dolphins, with a surprising and educational display in one of the world's largest dolphin. With a total of five swimming pools, this facility can accommodate about thirty dolphins.

Temperate and tropical

Installation of Temperate and Tropical invited on a journey from the warm-water ocean regions to the warm waters of the tropics, through exhibitions connected with a fantastic underwater tunnel 70 meters long, the longest in Europe.

Islands

Sea lions are relatives of the seals. These animals will surprise us by their great intelligence and sympathy as well as his great skill under water. The exhibition is open air with heated water.

Wetlands

Outdoor exhibition showing two representative coastal wetlands of the temperate and tropical areas: the marshes and mangroves.
